School Council Minutes October 3rd, 2025

  • Mom’s Pantry Delivery the week of November 17, exact date TBC.

Aimee requires a letter from Cynthia – will email Cynthia to remind. 

Welcome and Approval of Minutes:

September Minutes Approved. 

Principal’s Report: 

  • Welcome and introductions of everyone
  • Library freshly painted
  • Terry Fox September 25th was very successful
  • Cross country practice still going – great turn out.
  • Lacross is up and running – Mr. McClure is going to be assisting. In need of chest guards, arm guards etc. 2 girls must be on the field at all times.
  • Meetings for year confirmed (Oct. 6, Nov. 3, Jan. 12, Mar. 2, May 4, June 1)
  • First Friday of each month is spirit day

Activities spoke about for the year – needs for the school clubs. 

 Report Treasurer’s:

  • Playground balance: unchanged

Council Norms:

  • Some things added to norms

    1. Bring a problem and try to find a solution.

  •    Be respectful to each other outside of meetings

    2. Time- Meetings are done at 8PM sharp.

  •    Stick to a topic and move past things we have decided against or are not able to do.

    3. Everyone has different perspectives and beliefs; we need to honour that.

    We work as a group to support the whole; we fundraise for the whole school not one grade.

4. No talking over each other

  • Meetings are about the big things; we plan then present
  • If you have an idea, you head it and create a team to help
