Welcome to Deer Park Public School – Home of the Chargers!
At Deer Park Public School, we are proud to be a small school with a big heart. Our vibrant and evolving community is built on strong relationships, a commitment to learning, and a deep respect for the traditions that shape us. Whether you're new to our school or a long-time member of our community, you are warmly welcomed here.
Student Achievement
We promote and support high expectations for all learners. Our dedicated staff work closely with families to ensure every student is challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Through engaging classroom instruction and enriching programs like Ojibwe Language, Chess Club, and the Youth Space Leadership Group, students are encouraged to explore their interests, think critically, and grow as confident, capable learners. Our athletics program—including lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and badminton—also supports skill development, teamwork, and perseverance.
Health and Well-Being
We believe that learning happens best in a safe, caring, and healthy environment. At Deer Park, we build strong, positive relationships and promote active, balanced lifestyles. Our staff are committed to nurturing each student’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Whether through daily interactions, leadership opportunities, or participation in sports and clubs, students are supported in developing resilience, empathy, and a strong sense of self.
Human Rights and Inclusivity
We learn and grow together by affirming and celebrating the diverse identities that make up our school community. As our community evolves, we continue to build strong connections and shared values. We blend tradition with innovation to prepare our students for a bright future. We are committed to equity, inclusion, and reconciliation. We respectfully acknowledge that our school is located on the traditional territory of the Williams Treaty Peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Chippewas of Georgina Island, and other Anishinaabe peoples. We honour their enduring connection to this land and strive to build a future rooted in respect, responsibility, and shared understanding.
Thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to explore, connect, and become part of the Deer Park community—where every child is known, every voice is heard, and every future is possible.
